Fed up with Christmas now

Just listening to DH lecturing DS1 over his eating habits at the dinner table. DH is extremely particular at the table and is always picking up on DS taking too big a mouthful, not sitting properly, picking on his brother etc etcMealtimesConfused have become totally stressful as I know he's going to go into one. DS can't seem to do anything right in DH eyes. DH seems to have had a cob on all day. We've got guests tomorrow and I'm stressing already as it involves lunch and I know he'll be watching both children like a hawk and giving them dagger looks if they put a foot wrong. I can't wait for Christmas to be over and get back to normal.

But what is normal? Can't you agree with your husband about normal behaviour at the table, notably his?

drzeus · 26/12/2013 22:25

I'm going to have a talk with DH when I've stopped seething.

You're doing the right thing by tackling this head on. Let this go on & next thing you know DH is controlling more & more stuff & everyone is afraid to ruffle his feathers. He's being unreasonable IMHO, good luck!

Agree with the others. Did you have the talk?

daiseehope · 27/12/2013 10:18

OP, I feel for you. My fw is the same. It makes me feel very nervy. Have you asked him? Is he always like this or is the meal thing his "thing" iyswim lolWink
