I have just came home to find a calling card from the council.
For a viewing of a property.

It was for my ex. Why the council are coming here for him in the first place is a question in itself?

But...the flat he is going to view is in the block of flats where my old ex lives.
The one he tried adding on facebook.

What....the...fuck!

Is it just me who finds this weird?

I cannot take it. I cannot cope with the thought of him living in thr same town as me, nevermind if he actually was!

What am i going to do?
I havent long moved here and i love my house. But i wouldnt even be able to go to the local shopping centre without bumping into him.

What a knock back! Do you think he has deliberately had thr council call here for him t remind me he still exists? Because he cannot get in touch with me as it would breach injunction and bail conditions.

Its all very weird

Post here to let off steam, but call the police and your solicitor.

Anniegetyourgun · 03/12/2013 14:26

If he's going to move in next door to your other ex, that's good. Your other ex will be able to tell him to fuck off in person instead of merely declining his advances on Facebook.

As for what you do, simply inform the Council that ex is not resident there. He may be telling them he lives at your address to give him an in to the area, is that possible? Councils don't just offer flats in any area you fancy moving to. You have to have a connection to the area. Just a thought as to why he may have done it - and why it is important to set them straight.

Anniegetyourgun · 03/12/2013 14:27

That is, if he currently lives in an area covered by a different local authority, of course. Otherwise he is just being an arse as usual.

wontletmesignin · 03/12/2013 14:28

I phoned the council straight away and told them where he was currently living.

I have his son. So that could be his reason. Although i have stopped contact.

Social services are coming on thursday so will inform them. I will ring the police and solicitor but i dont see how they could do anything.

I feel i am left wih no option but to leave my home town. I really dont want to as i am connected here. All of my family. Schools. Everything.
I cannot take this Sad

He is in a different area. Not that far away, but far enough for me

Don't jump to that conclusion just yet. You may be better off with your support network around you than moving to an unfamiliar bit of the country, with no guarantee ex wouldn't find a way to follow. Right now it sounds like you're doing the right things. See what ss, council and all have to say about it. Moving may be an option, it may even be a good one, but you don't need to move in a panic because ex, based on what appears to be misleading information he has given the council, is merely viewing somewhere near you. He may not even move there.

BillyBanter · 03/12/2013 14:46

This is probably covered by the injunction. Not specifically but about contacting you indirectly. Call the police. remember to say that he previously tried to befriend your ex and this house is near your ex.

wontletmesignin · 03/12/2013 14:55

Oh i never thought i would feel like this. Over this.

Its an awful feeling. I have spoken to the officer who has been dealing with everything. He says it could be innocent and down to the council not updatig their system.
He says ring thr council, explain situation and ask them to remove his information from this house while im on thr phone.
But i already have.
When he left. I told them he had gone. I told all of the housing/council tax people!

It should already be done.

He says if it happens again to phone him and he will see what he can do.
I told him where he was planning on moving and hr laughed and said let your exes enjoy their time together.

He says he will pop in next time hes near my house.

I really dont want to move. But if he moves near me. I think it may be my only option Sad

Oh dear god. Just had solicitor on the phone asking about contact as his mother had rang to ask.

I asked if this was indirect contact and she said it was fine. Throughthe injunction.
What about the bail conditions though?

Honestly man! What next!!!

try and stay calm and let the police and the council and everyone you can know about all this. If the injunction isn't clear ask to go back to court to clarify what he can and can't do.x

wontletmesignin · 03/12/2013 17:21

Thank you all. Ive calmed down and over the panic now!

Ive spoken to the council - they said it was because they didnt have a contact number for him. Which makes no sense to me, as his address still is not here!
I explained the situation to them as the police said, and she took my address and number off of his name.

I asked my solicitor and she said he hadnt breached the injunction as he can contact via solicitor. but she isnt sure on bail conditions. So emailed the officer asking him.havent had a reply yet.

glad you feel bit better. It may be good when its blown over to track exactly how the council did get your address for him, I'm sure that the solicitor will be able to check it all out tomorrow for youx
