The reason i ask is because DH is waiting for his new xbox to be delivered and hes been checking the tracking info all week and prattling on about it every other minute. . Saying he's excited. driving me round the bend Seriously I dont think he was as anxious about our DCs deliveries as he is about this bloody console. Don't get me wrong I look forward to things and am pleased when nice things happen but I don't get giddy with excitement.
AIBU to not get squeaky with excitement about stuff or do you 'grow out' of excitement. Or am I jealous he can get that animated? I feel like a misreable old bat!!!

My Dh went to pick his up at midnight, he's a complete manchild with regards to his x box, it's zapped his mental age. We were paying for it in game yesterday, I walked in with a 34 yo Dh he walked out a giddy 14 yo, it was like that film big but in reverse.
I did feel a tad jealous.

That's exactly it!! Hes been calling and texting asking if its here yet sincw he left for work. Ivhonestly cannot remember a time I was so happy and excited about something. I mean yes I was excited about my children but that was also tinged with worry and...oh yes...the PAIN and hard work of birth clouded the excitement somewhat. Grin

He took photos of it and sent it to his friends just after midnight

He finishes work at 4pm he did the download when he set it up lastnnight so it'll be ready to go when he comes in, me and the dc will be sidelined in favour of his new toy

I still get very excited about stuff but, being a sad old broad, it's sad old broad stuff I get excited about. Hmm Most recently a gorgeous fountain pen.

Haha i was oh so excited when the xbox one was announced. I couldnt wait to go through what your dh has been going through!
Then i heard of the price...and my ds wanted one. Sharing is not an option.
So ive had to let this one go. Sad

Maybe when the prices drop.
Dont feel miserable though. He will be that excited, he wouldng have noticed a change in your mood at all! Smile

I get as excited as that on the odd occasions when I think there might be a chance of ten minutes' sex with my wife even though I know she no more needs it than fly in the air.

There is nothing better than the postman knocking with a parcel you have ordered! Especially when you have ordered a few and have no idea which one has came first!
