Hello! I´m a Swedish mother of three kids - two boys (10 & 6 years old) and a girl who is 8. We are struggling with homeworks in English and my idea is that it might be a bit more fun if they have a friend in the UK. Someone that they can send e-mails to and maybe visit one day. Maybe on their own or together with the whole family. Are you intrested to get to know us?
The boys are intrested i sports (soccer, handball, judo) and our girl loves horses and to cut, to glue, to picture and to paint...
Please let me know in this forum if you would like to get in contact to us!

Bump

Sweden74 · 11/11/2013 17:35

I'm sorry but I don't know what you mean with bump... Obvisouly it isn't only my kids who need to practice Smile.

"bump" is a "no information" post intended to move the thread to the top of the list of threads.

Sorry, can't help with English homework. My grandchildren are in university, so I am much older than you.

Sweden74 · 11/11/2013 17:45

Thanks!

I was trying to help you Sweden. Sometimes if you 'bump' a post it re-activates it and others respond.

Timetoask · 11/11/2013 17:47

Hello!
I am not sure were you are?
Do your children go to local schools? A good idea is to ask them what children they would like to befriend at school and invite the children to a playdate at your house. Hopefully the invitation will be reciprocated and a friendship outside of school could start. Also, since your children like sports, it would be a good idea to join a local club and meet children that way.
Good Luck!

Hi Sweden, I'm a busy single mum with just one boy. I wouldn't be able to commit too much time so probably not the best choice but I'm sure someone will come along shortly :)

Thanks!

No, I think she is in Sweden and just wants penfriends, Timeyoask.

Sweden74 · 11/11/2013 17:51

Timetoask: we live in Sweden and have a lot of friends here. I am looking for a penpal for my kids and for me. I would be fun! And I hope someone in Great Britain would think that too.

Dear Sweden74
I'm sure there must be a family who would love to do this, but I suspect this has been posted in the wrong section of mumsnet to reach the correct people.
I wonder whether someone could suggest where this should be moved to?

Sorry I can't help- children at university now!

WallyBantersJunkBox · 11/11/2013 22:15

Ask for it to be moved to chat?

Sweden74 · 11/11/2013 22:32

Everyone here is so kind to me. Thanks for that! I'm new at mumsnet and I don' feel familiar with the different groups. Where should I post my question? Any suggestions?

Hello! my DS is 8 and loves emailing and skyping. He is also bilingual and has recently moved to England so still finding his feet really and I am sure he would like to contact other children in multilingual households. PM me (private message)
