Has any one read Lundy Bancroft "When Dad hurts Mom"?

Bump. Wondering whether to buy it for a friend who has escaped DV and whose eldest has been badly affected.

Yes, i've read it. it was very useful to think of the children's perspective in a violent realtionship. recommend, possibly together With "why does he do that".

Thankyou Turbo. Do you think the second book will still be useful as she has already left.....still being harassed though.

Books are fine as far as they go. Coping mechanisms also fine but limited. What practical (legal) help is she getting to stop them being harassed? Police, for example? Injunctions?

She is getting help. Police, W.Aid etc but it doesn't stop the fear. Hoping that understanding may empower.
Will buy her the books in the hope that they will help, if only a little.
