he has no access!
I received my first child tax payment today as a single claimant & it hasn't been transferred straight out!!

Great feeling, isn't it? FWIW you don't have to let the ex come and go as he pleases. If you tell him to stay away and he refuses to listen there are ways around it, especially if there's a divorce underway. Have you taken legal advice?

we can't divorce yet as the law in NI is that you have to be married 2 years until you can apply for divorce and we have only just been married one. FFS.
he cheated 9 months in btw.

Even if you can't divorce, you can set things up so that he can't easily swan back in. As lone female you have to protect yourself and that means extra security measures e.g. locks and bolts. Reasonable. Put it in writing that you don't want him to return to the house but will arrange to have his belongings avaiable. A decent man would accept this and stay away. If he tries to gain entry against your wishes you can then call the police.
