how do you find a lawyer and get on with divorce proceedings?

A good friend of mine has split up with her husband. He was having an affair and he wants a divorce. She has agreed to the divorce, but has not seen a lawyer at all. She wants to do things amicably and says she doesn't want anything from her husband.
I think she is crazy, and keep asking her to get a lawyer, but I think she is scared about the whole process.
Could anyone give me some advice on how to help her get a lawyer, what the process will be and what kind of general settlement she might be entitled to?
The situation may be a little complicated as she was not a British citizen when they married (she is now). They were however married in England. They have two daughters, and a house in London. The husband does have a lawyer.
Any advice that would enable me to help my friend would be much appreciated. Lozzer

I'd go by recommendation if possible.

Most offices offer a free half hpur consultaton, this may be the best way to go about it.

In theory she's entitled to a 50 50 split, but with children involved she could get more ie stay in the house. But iof she really doesn't want anything, you can't force her.

Not sure that not being British makes any difference as they reside here.

HTH.

Thanks Little Rach. There is an added complication in that they are both living overseas at the moment, so she would need to do the initial lawyer stuff by telephone, I suspect.
I am also overseas, in Malaysia, and don't have any idea about finding a divorce lawyer in England. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Many thanks, Lozzer
