Does anyone have ideas about presents for the man who has everything?

Can anyone help me with my current dilemma? Please? I'm in a fairly new relationship (3 months) with a man who appears to be rather richer than me.It's his birthday soon, and while I don't want to appear stingy, I don't have heaps of spare cash. Any ideas for suitable presents?

Bake him a birthday cake.

MrsDavidBowie · 06/09/2013 14:37

Wrap yourself up.

With the cake? But seriously, thanks- will do both!

I had this with dp. Had noooo idea so made a nice meal. Baked a cake and purchased some rather more flattering underwear than my usual mismatched lot :)

I think I got him a book...something funny type thing about his proffession. He seemed to appreciate the evening Grin

Take him out for dinner - you make all the decisions about where and when etc so he doesn't have to, make it a surprise. That's always something I appreciate (I also went out with a millionaire for a while and he liked it when I did this for his birthday (although to be fair he was just a really kind guy and would probably have said that any way).

Take him to an "activity"? A play or a comedy thing or a museum or something. (recommendations depend on where you live)

For example I know DP would love to go see HMS Belfast

Turn up naked, bring food.

Purringkittenmama · 06/09/2013 16:48

My DP would enjoy a trip arranged to go up something high with a view. I am thinking about The Shard for his birthday. He likes TV towers, high buildings and pointing things like the Eiffel Tower...
(well it works for us Blush)

How much money do you have to spend? Also a good idea for food is the m and s dine in meals for two. Yummy and not too expensive .

overmydeadbody · 06/09/2013 16:55

Does he have a Raspberry Pi? Most of the men I know either have one or want one. I think they are about £35 and very cool if you are into computers or software.

I make my DP things like last year I made him a wallet, are you at all creative?

oscarwilde · 06/09/2013 17:02

Expensive 15 yr old whiskey?
Any clue as to his likes/dislikes/type of employment/interests and ideal budget

TweedWasSoLastYear · 06/09/2013 17:51

Agent Provoceteur + Beer + Hotel room service .- most men are simple creatures and there is no point in overthinking this .
3 months is quite new and in my admitadly limited expereince this ticks most of the boxes

Purringkittenmama · 06/09/2013 18:13

Hmmm you could be right. But I like all of the ideas- I just want him to think that I've considered him, but I agree, it's probably the obvious things which are the best!
