Don't know if I'm allowed to recommend a book

Hi, this book has helped me from frying my brain when I have gone through a break up or bad patch in a relationship.

It's a natural to go through a stomach churning, reflective phase but sometimes passing thoughts turn into obsessive thoughts that we cannot turn off. Well, that's what happens to me. I find myself analysing everything he said, I said, everything we done or didnt do until my brain feels like it will explode.

When I'm driving or making dinner or at work, I can't turn my mind off.

If that sounds familiar then I recommend this book

www.amazon.co.uk/Women-Who-Think-Too-Much/dp/0749924810

It has helped me tremendously.

Hope it can help someone else too. X

"In the last few decades many psychologists have encouraged the view that constantly analysing and expressing our emotions is a good thing. Dr Susan Nolen-Hoeksema challenges this assumption in her breakthrough new book on conquering negative thinking.

Encouraged by a fast-paced, self analytical culture, women often spend countless hours dwelling on negative ideas, feelings and experiences. Dr Nolen-Hoeksema calls this 'overthinking' and her groundbreaking research shows that an increasing number of women are doing this too much and too often, hindering their ability to effectively deal with problems and lead a satisfying life.
Discover What 'overthinking' is and what causes it.

Why women are particularly prone to negative thinking"
