Another MIL rant I'm afraid. 1 litre of water per day for a two year old???

DD has urinary reflux, so risk of kidney infection. Fair enough, it's important for her to drink water to reduce the risk. But my MIL tells me this (note me, not her son), at least twice everytime I see her (usually twice a week.)
This evening she stated that ideally DD, 23 months, should get thorough 1 litre a day!!! What is she on?
And what does she think i'm supposed to do? Pin the child to the floor and pour it down her throat? I can't really do more than make sure she has water to hand and keep reminding her to drink it.
GRRRR.

oh yeah.... and after she gets up from being pinned down and having it poured down her throat you better hope she is toilet trained or your gonna go broke in purchasing nappiesGrin

Some people just like to tell other people what to do. It's easier, I find, to just nod, say "uh-huh", or "hmm", in a noncomittal sort of way, and wander off.

That's pretty much my strategy NQC. And what's really ironic, Gravity, is that every time she has DD for any period of time, she relates to me in great detail how many nappies she's had to change, and how disGUSting they smelled.(Oh dear, the ones she does for me smell of roses. NOT!)
