As the weather is going to be hot hot hot and all the men will want to do is stay indoors watching the footie instead of doing fun family outdoor activities Grin

none in my house I will be staying in watching it with dh :)

BonyM · 09/06/2006 14:59

None here either - both dh and I are completely disinterested in watching sport Smile.

SHHHH · 09/06/2006 15:20

Wish I had a dh who hated footie...I'm a footballers widdow for the next month or so sadly...He's off to the pub to watch it and probably won't be home until Sunday morning. Sad. I hate him going out drinking to excess anyway esp when it's the footie..worries me about fighting etc (he not a trouble maker but you just need to be in the wrong place at the wrong time iykwim)..
So it's a girlie day for dd (1 yr) and I and our future addition... Anyone else dh/dp the same as dh..?? It seems that everyone elses comes home in a reasonable state at a reasonable hour..?? Im sure dh thinks he's still 18..Sad.

BTW it;s been all over the news about domestic violence..apparently levels are expected to increase while the wc is on Sad.

I am going, with all the family for a long riverside walk, topped off by lunch in a rather nice pub. Because it is my Birthday!

Dh doesn't like football that much, and isn't English ....I'm very lucky!

MissChief · 09/06/2006 15:25

sure rows to be had chez MissChief but not of the footie type, thank God!
Happy Birthday for tomorrow, martian - lovely day for it!

intergalacticwalrus · 09/06/2006 15:26

DP is going to watch it at home with the cvurtains drawn (he does this every time) I am a total sports widow, if it's not football, it's cricket/rugby/tennis (yawn) so I am quite used to it, and have found it's easier not to complain.

alligator · 09/06/2006 15:28

thankfully dp isnt too bothered about the football but we are going to a barbie tomorrow and the football will be on but I fully intend to ignore it all.

southeastastra · 09/06/2006 15:51

im going to have a row with my neighbour it has been building up for months, he has built decking two foot up and i can see him all the time, i have no privacy anymore! he bangs and uses power saws grrr the heat is making me short tempered. sorry for rant nothing at all to do with the football!

Toothache · 09/06/2006 15:52

None in my house..... nobody to argue with!

MissChief · 09/06/2006 15:55

you know, i just walked passed a house being renovated and they've exaclty chopped off half of their neighbour's tree -some of the trunk and most of the branches which had, I guess, been overhanging! It's a real hatchet job too - house not yet lived in, but that must be some row brewing, i'd be furious if i were the neighbour! WTF are they on??

SKYTVADICT · 09/06/2006 16:10

DD2 is having her birthday party at 2pm tomorrow organised before we knew! Ex DH very happy as it is his weekend and he is dropping her off for the party & collecting afterwards. DP not too happy as he has to collect other DD from gymnastics at 2.30 14 miles away!

Probably no arguments just a few grumps. DPs life has certainly changed since he met me. Wink

Also 9 other little girls with very happy daddies. Grin

Blossomhill · 09/06/2006 16:12

My dh is going to the pub to watch it!

elliepippamummy · 09/06/2006 16:22

SHHH - you sound as if you could be me! My DH also going to pub apparently coming home around 8 (although whether that means sat night or sunday am) I always worry about other idiots that are out also we live by a river and panic that he will stumble in on his way home. My DD who is 21 months has a birthday party at 1.00 (my closest friend little girl is 2 tomorrow) so we'll be going to that and me & my little bump can relax whilst she plays with her friends!! Roll on July when its all finished!

spursmum · 09/06/2006 16:32

No one to argue with in my house but I will be down the pub as soon as doors open to get a decent seat in front of the big screen.
COME ON ENGLAND!! Grin

SHHHH · 09/06/2006 16:42

epm, we do sound the same.!! DH said last night in bed..we'll I may suggest the lads for a curry afterwards as they won't be going around town due to wearing footie shirts etc...I don't get my hopes up thinking he's home at 8ish pm as he NEVER KEEPS TO HIS PLANS..What will happpen is they will all go home, get changed and then go back out..Surley thats doing more than watching the footie..?!!!
Wish I could have that lifestyle but all changed once dd was conceived.
So ask me on sunday how dh's plans went........think I should bet him a new pair of jimmy choo's Wink..!!!!

alismummy · 09/06/2006 19:57

Mine started today. Are most peoples other halves just watching the england matches, or are they trying to catch as many as possible?

clairemow · 09/06/2006 20:01

think I am lucky too - we are going out for the day (hope no traffic as everyone else will be in watching TV) DH is a Scot, so doesn't support England anyway. Football free house...

Dior · 09/06/2006 20:01

Dh is out tonight for a beer and take-away at friend's house. Tomorrow pm, he is at same friend's house to watch the England game. I'm not bothered. I'm taking ds into town on the bus, as it will be deserted. We will probably go to the park and have a coffee in a lovely coffee shop with a fab garden. If it was raining I would be pissed off though!

petunia · 09/06/2006 20:42

No rows here, no football fans in this house. I'm waiting for Wimbledon to start, then there'll be rows (probably over me wanting tennis and DDs wanting Cbeebies!)

galaxy · 09/06/2006 20:55

No rows here either - no sports fans in our house.

joelalie · 09/06/2006 20:56

No rows with us either. DH will be watching the footie in the afternoon - never expected anything else. But I'm taking the morning off to meet a friend for coffee and shopping. Fair exchange I think Smile

lucykate · 09/06/2006 20:56

dh hates football thank goodness.

ComeOVeneer · 09/06/2006 20:57

Am hoping there will be no rows but our day is totally arranged around the football. DD's swiming lesson, viewing properties, luch out family then football. So dh will be marching us around like an army general.

Thomcat · 09/06/2006 20:58

I'm more likey to be watching the footie in my house. In fact have it planned with 5 of my girlie mates. DP not bothered.

hoxtonchick · 09/06/2006 21:00

i'm going to sainsbury's, it'll be empty :o.
