Witnessed 2 separate DV incidents on a Ryanair flight last night.

Our flight was delayed by 2 hours late last night in Barcelona.
One passenger was with his partner. He was getting agitated that the flight was so delayed and taking it out verbally with his gf.
He was so passive aggressive.
I really felt for the woman. I just wanted to tell her that she doesn't need to put up with it.
She actually apologised to him.

The second was on the flight. A youngish couple. Early 20's sat down and she had been drinking. She started hitting him and trying to get his mobile. This went on whilst we were taking off so the man was trapped.
2 grown men behind thought it was hilarious. Hmm

I went and told the cabin crew that this passenger was drunk and emotional and kept assaulting her partner.

They couldn't have cared less. I said if it was the other way round you would view this differently.

Horrible flight all round.

I had years of DV when I was younger and I always felt that nobody ever helped me or stepped in.
People used to turn a blind eye. Hmm

I'm surprised the flight attendants didn't do anything. They normally take disturbances and drunk passengers very seriously. At least you did the right thing

Normally I'd say you should write and complain since they could have endangered others. But it's Ryanair so complaining is a waste of time. Just fly with someone competent in future

Awful and awful you had to put up with it but yes, it's Ryanair so not surprised, the cabin crew are probably so downtrodden they don't take their job very serious, hence their couldn't care less attitude...

Yeah well, Ryanair...what you could do is write to the CAA, give them the fight number and date, and let them give Ryanair a rocket.

We were once waiting to board at Luton when a family of scrotes shoved their way to the front and told the cabin staff they were sitting where they liked. Given that the four of them had 60 stone between them and more tats than teeth they weren't stopped. It's all about turnround time.

Sorry, flight number!

They actually got the giggles as they took it in turn to walk past and have a look.

Hmm
