Personal shopper for DH - can anyone advise?

Hello, I want to give my DH a present for his 40th - a personal fashion stylist/shopper (is the term correct?) to be able to take him to shops and buy him nice clothes to feel good in. Can anyone recommend where to turn to, i read some horror stories online about them pushing you into spending a fortune and not giving you good advice re your style... Does anyone know a reliable one??
Thank you very much in advance.

Is that a relationship question?

Go to Selfridges, they're amazing!

Is this a present for you or him...?

CajaDeLaMemoria · 14/07/2013 17:01

I know Self ridges give you a form that asks you how much you have to spend and what 'essentials' you'd really like to get, but the boxes to tick start at £300 and it doesn't let you specify how many items you want for that. They always seem to have excellent reviews and happy customers!

They'd only shop with him in Self ridges, though.

If you post on 'style and beauty' they can probably recommend somewhere good.

Thanks all. Probably a question for Style&beauty indeed, but i didn't spot that! Sorry.

outingmyself, it's for him, really.)) He said he wants it. (but I don't mind him looking good either, provided he doesn't spend too much!)

I would think very carefully about whether he will take it in the spirit it is intended.

tribpot · 14/07/2013 18:23

Oh sorry - x-posts. As long as he's happy with it, no probs at all, then.

Where in UK are you? That is what I do, and I specialise in high street / budget capsule wardrobes.

I think Debenhams is great, but have only used it for myself. It's a free service, I've never felt under any pressure to buy and you could use the money saved on fees to buy clothes.
