Having read some of these threads, I think I am very priviledged that the relationship I have and have always had with my mother is wonderful. She's a great mother and grandmother, friend, shoulder to cry on. I appreciate her very much, especially now she is older and some 5000 miles away. Doesn't mean we don't have our moments. But she's always there when I need her

I havent spoken to my mother for a year and a half and life is so much simpler, easier and stress free this way. The lst straw was when she was following my threads on the internet (MN included - I have changed my nick since then) and copying them and sending them to my doctor to say i was an unfit parent.
She's nuts, I tell you, nuts!

I have a difficult relationship with my mother but it is helped enormously by a shared love of dd Smile
