Ideas for a night in

My wife and I have three young children. We try to make one night a week a night for 'us' once the kids are in bed. Due to vile wintry weather etc we've done some cosy DVD/sofa evenings, listening to music, chatting etc but now we're casting around for something a bit more ta-da. Tommy lee Jones/Pamela Anderson chandelier swinging is out because of a) sleeping children and b) no chandeliers, but ideas please for fun/quality time at home.

Get a wii! We always end up in stitches playing some of the more physical games

Shag. If doesn't have to be noisy. Do it downstairs!

Cook a really elaborate meal together, just for you two. Chat and drink wine while you do it.

Buy a meditation or yoga DVD and give it a go.
Games night.
Poker (for pennies)
Sing star or Just Dance night.
Cooking competition - do a course each and mark each other on different categories.

Sounds predictable but with my ex BF we used to do the M&S "dine in for whatever the price is now" and properly lay the table, nice music, wine etc, make an effort to talk. It was actually really nice and felt like a treat.

The Monogamy game sounds fun, and I like cooking competition idea. We cook in different ways. DW is a strict recipe follower; I'm a make it up as I go along cook. The bonus is that if we fall out over the marks it could lead to angry sex on the kitchen table. Winner! But will the Ikea table stand up to it?
Thanks for the tips.
