If you could afford to use paid OD sites, would you still use Match and POF?

Just that really.

New to OD and wonder if I'm missing something in dismissing Match and POF simply because I can afford a paid site.

Would appreciate your thoughts and views

Do you have to wear uniform to go on uniform dating?

No, just have to be in a uniformed profession, eg Armed Forces, NHS, Police etc.

Or want someone like that! I am/was in RAF (leave in April) and am jumping sideways to Police so still having work clothes paid for!

I met 3 lovely blokes all on POF - one was really nice & genuine, but just a bit old & no spark, second was lovely and we got on great but he was too busy with work to meet up (he's just not that into you?!)

The third is my absolute soul-mate, we've been together 6 months and every day I feel so lucky that I added him to my favourites list, which prompted him to message me! (He was also on Match & possibly another one too, not sure).

I just went on:

a) photos that didn't look like a dickhead
b) met all the criteria (non-smoker, age, can spell etc)
c) what they said in their initial message ("hey sexy want to meet up?" - delete!)

Went for coffee with no.1, meal in the afternoon with no.2 and drink/possible meal with no.3 so I got bolder as I went along! Needless to say date no.3 did include dinner, then drinks afterwards, then abandoning cars in favour of taxis home, to him coming home with me! Maybe not the way its supposed to be done, but I could tell he was lovely from the minute we met
