To not want to

Leave the living room, even if the dog wants a wee.

It has been snowing on and off all day, my central heating broke 2 weeks ago, and the engineer isn't due until Tuesday (bloody rural living).

I have had the fire on all day, and the wood burner has been running 24/7, but with 3 kids, 3 cats and the dog, the doors keep getting left open and I have been bloody cold all day (even in 5 layers!)

The dog wants a wee, but I am actually warm: blanket, woodburner, closed door, and I just know it is f'in freezing in the rest of the house, so AIBU to tell the dog to cross her legs just for a little bit longer, while I work myself up to braving the cold?

Oh bugger, sorry thought I was in AIBU.

Is it a tall dog? Can he wee out of the letterbox?

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 01/12/2012 22:00

Hello, froggies. Grin

Keep the blanket round your shoulders and let her out of your black door (yes, people, we know each other), you know she'll be as keen to get back into the warm as you!

froggies · 01/12/2012 22:01

No, she is only little, and I don't have a letter box.

She is just sitting, LOOKING at me.

Mabe she doesn't want a wee, maybe she just wants my seat on the sofa as one of the cats is sprawled where she usually parks herself. (and she is a bit scared of him)

Lol OldLady, black door is locked, need to go down to the icebox kitchen to get my keys.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 01/12/2012 22:05

There were keys in that door when I left the other day.

froggies · 01/12/2012 22:08

They are DS's, and he has them with him.

She isn't looking at me anymore, she is just making huffy noises as the cat stretches and gets just a little bit more comfortable.

If she is anything like my dog she will piss upstairs on the bath mat.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 01/12/2012 22:11

Ah. Does she have one of your beanbags in the room? She looks really snug curled up in them.

froggies · 01/12/2012 22:14

Yes, there is a beanbag, but she is sat at my feet. Think I will actually have to move.

Good luck, Captain Oates.
