Yorkiegirl · 31/03/2006 17:53

blinkin norah
I am not impressed with our GP
She played devil's advocate. And now he wants another baby.

OP posts:
spacecadet · 31/03/2006 17:53

crikey how do you feel about that?

Yorkiegirl · 31/03/2006 17:54

I had decided that our family was complete. I am happy with my 2 DDs. Life is mostly good, some not so good but mostly good.
How much would a third child change all that?

OP posts:
Auntymandy · 31/03/2006 17:55

Yorkiegirl · 31/03/2006 17:55

Shock pmsl!! Are you up for it Yorkie?? Grin

spacecadet · 31/03/2006 17:56

only you and your dh can decide, can you face being preg again, giving birth, sleepless nights etc, if the thought doesnt fill you with horror then go for it.

Auntymandy · 31/03/2006 17:57

well dont ask me I have 5

bubblerock · 31/03/2006 17:57

Yorkiegirl · 31/03/2006 17:57

another baby could be great

OP posts:
spacecadet · 31/03/2006 17:58

yes and i have 4, although i often try and remember what life was like when i only had 2!

JanH · 31/03/2006 17:59

What, right there on the hall floor?

zebrabra · 31/03/2006 17:59

are you sure he's not stalling, YG? Because he's too afraid to go under the knife (actually, I think they do it with laser thingies nowadays).

bubblerock · 31/03/2006 18:00

I can hear the patter of tiny feet Grin

ladyoracle · 31/03/2006 18:01

I had decided 2 was plenty, dp disagreed, he said 4 would be better.

Am now 32 weeks pregnant and pretty worried about coping with 3, but over the moon really.

Dp says that 3 is a good compromise Smile

Yorkiegirl · 31/03/2006 18:03

the thing that really puts me off is that I had placental clots with DD2 and spent 5 weeks in hospital, 4 weeks before and a week after. I didn't know at the time that clots are one of the biggest causes of miscarriage and still birth. And I had 4 clots. What if we did go for number 3 and that happened again but the worst happened? And the m/c in November... what if that happens again?

OP posts:
JanH · 31/03/2006 18:04

Can they treat placental clots if they know there's a history?

Yorkiegirl · 31/03/2006 18:05

I don't know jan. I had to have 2 lots of Anti d after bleeds as they don't give it routinely here.

OP posts:
spacecadet · 31/03/2006 18:09

yorkiegirl-i can certainly understand your apprehension.
would it be possible to chat to your gp about the possible implications of another pregnancy?

LeahE · 31/03/2006 18:13

Sounds like a good compromise with your DH may be that you agree not to make a decision one way or another until you know about the placental clots issue and whether it can be treated successfully? You can ask the GP who kicked this whole thing off to refer you to a specialist -- it's the least she can do Grin

Yorkiegirl · 31/03/2006 18:16

I aksed her after DD2 was born and she was very vague!
