How often do you see your boyfriend or girlfriend? If you live locally and only a 20 minute drive away and been seeing each other for 3 months do you think only seeing eachother once a week indicates they are not really interested in you?

I would have previously but my friend only saw her partner once/twice a week for the first couple of years (!!) - we all thought he was a real commitment-phobe and maybe he was then - but they've been together years now, live together and have a child.. I'm not sure I'd like it though..

I do not enjoy my own company and very much like the company of other people. He on the other hand is a bit more reclusive and likes time on his own. I have never lived on my own nor would i. If i had to i would have a lodger lol

There's no right or wrong amount to see each other as everyone and every relationship is different. However, while most people desire to have a special someone and no (wo)man is an island, not enjoying your own company is something I think you might want to take a look at. I always think that if you're not happy with who you are, how can you expect someone else to be? IMO only when you have a happy, fulfilled life as a single person are you ready to really have a successful fulfilling relationship.

If you're looking for someone to complete your life, the chances are that you'll just send him running as he sees someone who is emotionally needy. That isn't the same thing as wanting a relationship to add an extra special dimension, which is something that most people want.

I think Dahlen you have misinterpreted my post! I am not emotionally needy and am content with my life. I have my own garden design business and own individual interests, good parents and a couple of close friends. A partner would be the icing on the cake. What i am saying is i like to feel close to someone and once a week just does not give me the right signal that this guy is really serious about spending time with me. We are only a 30 minute drive away. We both work full time yes but NO ONE is that busy they don't want to see more of you. We all have 24 hours in a day. Twice a week and one day at a weekend would be more what i was looking for and i don't think thats unreasonable.

I think you're right. I couldn't be doing with just meeting like that. However, if this is what he wants, listen to what he's telling you. He's happy to see you only once a week.

Perhaps it's time to find someone with whom you're more compatible?

Would be a shame as we got a lot in common but i just keep thinking that 3 months on and we still not seeing eachother regularly. I could understand if he worked away or had children. Maybe im with the wrong person.
