Body Issue and sex

Ok very embarrassing problem but fuck it I don't know anyone here so here we go...

I have a spotty bum. I have tried everything- exfoliating, nappy rash creams even, cotton underwear etc nothing helps. Doctors are useless.

My main problem with this is when I meet new partners, I dread the first time we have sex. Doggy is out of question and i just feel constantly on edge to the point where I cannot enjoy myself.

I know everyone has issues with their body- hell I have small boobs and have had a baby my body is far from perfect, but the spotty bum issue is really getting me down. Any advice?! Does this actually bother guys? None of my previous partners have mentioned it, but I guess they wouldn't.

What type of spots? Do they occur in clusters or are do they singularly appear on various parts of your bum? Do they look/feel like a rash or full on zits - or something in between? Have you seen a dermatologist?

CinnamonPreztel · 29/06/2012 00:49

Yep seen a dermatologist who put me on roaccutane for face acne and she said there was a 50/50 chance of it helping the ones on my bum- although she never told me what they were. Well it didn't help. They are singular but kind of like rash spots :S

I had similar and it turned out to be an allergic reaction to shower gel

pinkredandpurple · 29/06/2012 00:53

this could be Shingles (herpers virus variation) especially if this happens more in hot weather or when very stressed, for which you could try a coldsore cream? or Acyclovir through GP. If permanent, then probably hormonal - for which issue I agree doctors in UK (at any rate) are USELESS.

pinkredandpurple · 29/06/2012 00:55

'herpes' - and they would be more rash like with this, although allergy also poss. But allergy to shower gel wd be on other body parts too.

CinnamonPreztel · 29/06/2012 00:56

Hmm I have had this problem since I was a child so not sure about shower gel :S Would shingles last this long? Uuugh how depressing.

Cinnamon I have heard hibiscrub and a brush as a suggestion.

pinkredandpurple · 29/06/2012 00:57

btw if it is hormonal you may have PCOS, among other things, which is badly diagnosed.

pinkredandpurple · 29/06/2012 01:00

shingles can come and go all the time if you ever contracted herpes and your immune system is not great. They would quickly respond to acyclovir every time though, within days - so it would be obvious if it helped.

izzyizin · 29/06/2012 01:33

IIs no-one gonna say that they love their h because he fucked off? t sounds as if it's a bacterial issue.

I second wobbly's suggestion of using hibiscrub but I'd also recommend the cheaper and often more effective options of Neem soap (less than £1 from Asian stores) or other anti-bacterial soaps such as Cuticura or one of the various Neutrogena facial bars for acne (c£2.99 on eBay).

As a topical application between baths/showers, zap that zit by dabbing neat TCP directly on to each offending protruberance.

Exposure to the heavenly rays can considerably improve skin conditions such as acne. Next time the sun's out, moon!

Otherwise, don't give your bum a second thought as outer wrappers are rarely of any concern when the male of the species is overwhelmed by priapic enthusiasm Grin

izzyizin · 29/06/2012 01:40

Apologies: my thinking aloud in type about another op meets your bum in my opening sentence (above) Blush

Please virtually erase 'IIs no-one gonna say... etc' and begin with 'It sounds as if... etc.'

LunaLunatic · 29/06/2012 15:11

Whilst you're trying to solve it medically, you could try wearing some crotchless knickers :o They look pretty and provide 'access'! and might make you feel a bit more confident and able to enjoy yourself

Hope your doctor is able to help

justabigdisco · 29/06/2012 15:13

I had this same problem altho no spots anywhere else, just bum! And they were big, boil-like ones.
My GP gave me something called Zineryt which helped within a few weeks, they never came back.

Tamisara · 29/06/2012 15:28

Err... shingles is actually a reactivation of the virus that causes chickenpox (varicella), not herpes! Herpes (same family but not shingles) does tend to flare up, but does not recur as shingles
