If you've had counselling after his affair, either singularly or as a couple, I'd be surprised if the therapist didn't explore attitudes to porn, precisely because of the links with infidelity.

It's good that he was open about that office conversation, but I have to say that the conversation between him and 'Matt' left me cold. I think no-one could pay those two men enough to withstand some of the physical pain that women suffer in porn.

It's pretty obvious why the prospect of him looking at other women for sexual gratification is going to make you feel especially vulnerable when you're dealing with his infidelity, so I'd suggest you both have a conversation about porn and your expectations of eachother around this issue.

If it makes you uncomfortable and causes you anxiety and pain, don't be afraid to tell him that but insist that he is honest with you about whether he wants to use porn, because it's the secrecy about it that causes problems in relationships, as well as the growing problem of men preferring porn-aided masturbation, to sex with a partner.

I imagine your heart is racing because it is still been just four months since affair. Maybe the porn triggers feelings about the affair that are still tender? Maybe you wonder why he needs to look at other women, when you are his wife? I don't know..I'm just remembering all the questions and anxieties I delay with during my first marriage.
Perhaps there is someone you trust you could speak with regarding your feelings. My heart goes out to you..xx

So pleased you both had a chat and that he was honest and open about what happened. It is good that he said he would feel guilty about secretive use of porn.

I think it would be good to discuss this properly though.

Take care x
