Could someone help me define how a DP should support you in a relationship please.

Need a bit more info - do you mean financially, with other members of the family, in your career, around the house, with DCs...?

Couples should support each other in all aspects. Domestically by sharing the day-to-day tasks involved in keeping a home and/or children running. Socially by encouraging friendships, keeping up with relations, supporting hobbies and interests, separately or together. Financially by bringing money into the household and/or being responsible about how it is spent. And, very important, emotionally through actions that demonstrate respect, caring, consideration, encouraging ambition, assisting with problems.. 'love' in a nutshell

Me personally would say a DH should support you physically and emotionally, holding you and listening.
Advising and encouragement. Complimenting and making you feel like your the only girl in the world (Rhianna) ha!
