Dh has finally agreed to counselling flour out relationship. I hear a lot of negative stuff about Relate on mn, what are our other options?

research on the web local therapists (registered appropriately) that offer couples therapy. Then ring up several and briefly chat with them why you are wanting therapy and what you want to achieve and see what vibe you get from them.

Just to be devils advocate here, but I really liked the relate counsellors I saw before/after splitting with ExP. They were the most available too, so might be worth a try to see if they suit you?
I have heard horror stories on here too, but with me the relate counsellor saw that Exp was EA and made sure we had separate sessions from then on (after first session). They called me too after the first session to ask if I needed any other help, and told me what to do in the event that he turned violent etc.
I had sessions on my own after the final split a few months later and my (male) counsellor really helped me through some dark times.
They are a big organisation, so as with anything there will be good and bad I'm sure. Just don't dismiss because of what you've read on here is all I'm saying.
I used relate in Leeds if thats any help.
