I know, I know it is fiction but I'd love to have that kind of patience and sense of humour...I see people acting like that all the time but can they be like that every time behind close doors too?

Ciao Buch! I will follow your advise then. The only people I really liked in the show where the eldest son and the granddad.

The eldest Jake is pretty damn hot now. Blush

I can't watch outnumbered, it makes me want to put the tv on the naughty step for having a bad attitude.

People used to say to me in amazement, you are so patient with your children

its just my personality, i could no more swear or shout at my children than i could fly to the moon :)

Luck you and your children!

My cousin and her dh are always ecstatic about family life, each other, the children, the 12 hour a day road trip holidays they do with their perfectly behaved children...they live in Canada so I have not been able to observe their parenting style much, but they seem never to have any behavioural or relationship problems at all!

I find kids and parents in the US are pretty layed back and reasonable. OK there are bad areas but as an expat you are prob a professional and mix with those kids and they call you ma'am and sir and are cheerful and bad language free. Even the dogs are better behaved. DH says it is because there is so much space, everyone isn't on top of everyone else.

Well Canadians are mostly 'nice people', I'll agree with that!
