Does love and excitement last?
For all the MN's that are in happy long term relationships/ marriages, does the excitement and love last?
Do you still look forward to seeing them and get excited when they are home. Do you still hold hands and have fun together ect.

Did you feel like this before ds was born? 16 months is still early days. No wonder you feel like this. We're hardwired to put dcs first and dont have much energy for anyone or thing else. Dd was about 3 by the time things felt normal again here (and then along came dd2!)

SOH - I also identify with that.

OP I think you need to think through with someone whether this is temporary and situational, or something longer-term and deeper. Ironically, parenting, rather than pulling people together, does sometimes shine a light on differences. At worst it reveals meanness and thoughtlessness - I am wondering what the bad memories you speak of are?

I am also wondering what "kicked off" and "no fight in me" means. Does he browbeat, shout, sulk, refuse to talk, deny?
