He hurt my feelings

My dp and I live together. We've discussed marriage and kids and he was really freely discussing it and was keen for both to happen in next few years. I am 28 and he's 43. I have recently had the most incredible broodiness. I have been in tears some days because i want a baby so much so the other day I opened up to dp. He said there is no rush for a baby. He is 43! He'll be 60 by time our child is 16 if we had one now so i feel there is time passing us by!

What is really hurting me though is his ex had a son who he treated like his own from him being born. He no longer has contact though, and on hos profile on dating site we met on, he said that single parents are not a problem, so the way I see it is that he'll take on other peoples kids but not have one with me and I'm hurting!

This is like the fourth thread you've posted recently. Did you read the advice given on your other threads? The guy is a waster, relationships shouldn't be this hard.. Did you untangle the birth certificate situation?

mynewpassion · 19/03/2012 18:48

With this many threads, I am starting to wonder about the validity of anything the OP is writing about.

QuintessentialyHollow · 19/03/2012 18:51

Stop the sillyness.

ImperialBlether · 19/03/2012 18:54

For crying out loud, OP!

He's a time waster.
He's too old for you.
He messes women about.
He's messing you about.

Get rid of him!

MooncupandPizza · 19/03/2012 18:56

Hattie - you're going to have to namechange and change your story if you want to get a different response to this.

As things stand, people have read your threads and suggested what they can.

QuintessentialyHollow · 19/03/2012 19:02

You met him online, been with eachother less than a year, he works all the time in his minicab job, you have trust issues, he lies to you (birth certificate debacle) You never have any time together. Honestly, when you are this broody, you should perhaps think about why you have chosen such a crap partner.

PooPooInMyToes · 19/03/2012 19:39

Wow op! Another thread! What did you think about the advice on the other ones?

ErikNorseman · 19/03/2012 19:42

He is right. You have been together less than a year.

izzyizin · 19/03/2012 20:14

Here's one of your earlier threads: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/relationships/1431510-Im-annoyed-at-partner

He's a minicab driver? I wonder how many times he pops in for refreshment drives past his ex's home while he's plying his trade?

Frankly, you sound obsessed with him but I get the feeling that he's not that into you. FGS, keep using contraception otherwise you'll be back here with a serious problem that will be entirely of your own making.

That said, I have to ask hattie: is this yet another script for a soap? Cue the music, tune into next episode for resolution of the cliffhanger - and then you don't bother to let people who've taken time to advise you know the outcome a rl event occurs and you don't get to discover how it panned out.

nizlopi · 19/03/2012 20:21

Another thread?

izzyizin · 19/03/2012 20:22

Here's your saga of the birth cert hattie: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/relationships/1428731-Does-this-sound-right-re-dp-being-on-birth-cert-of-his-exs-baby-who-was-not-his
