Okay, have already posted about my Tax Credit balls up, but have now got to tell DH.
Overpaid by a lot so no tax credits for the forseeable future until it is paid back. This was my stupid mistake and DH is unaware. Now I have to tell him that, as I now have no money coming in anymore, he is going to have to hand over money for food, clothes, etc.
Am absolutely dreading this as he is bound to be pissed about it, well wouldn't you be?
So, how do I do this without it turning into a my fault your fault argument?

bjf1 - Definitely worth going back to renegotiate.

When I was paying back the large overpayment directly from CTC they were only taking £50 per month. When I moved in with DP they were unable to collect (according to their rules it classes as a new claim so they are not allowed to deduct anything for overpayments relating to old claims) so negotiated a lower repayment. I just told them what I could afford to pay.

To be fair this is our main source of "income" as I needed to become a carer for my son with SN.

Op you need to get yourself doen to the CAB office.
They have a fab 'hotline' straight to tax credits people and can sort it all out with one phone call (or two)

I don't think I can actually do anything yet.
Had the dreaded phone call with a curt young woman, who basically asked me if I agreed that overpayments had been made. I told her that, yes I had been overpaid, and it was completely due to my errors, but it had definitely not been intentional.
Think I just have to sit tight and wait for the Demand for Payment, then I can renegotiate with them,IYSWIM.
