After all the stress and hassle of controlled crying (and getting wrong when I went in too early!!!) how would you react if your other half, as you were putting DS, 'cuddle him before you go though, don't just let him 'cry it out' (!!) I know thats a philospphy of yours..'

Am I reading too much into it or is he just being sublimely ignorant? I hit the roof and now he's not speaking to ME!!!!! WTF??

GGGGRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Oh its so hard when you're child is crying out, I feel like my heart has been ripped out and trod on hard!

However, I know when DS1 is messing me about and "crying" and needs to be left, but DH goes in to "just see he's alright" It happens the other way around too.

Don't fall out, its not worth it! You're probably both stressed as its Sunday night, you want DS to go to bed without crying and quickly etc.

I admire you for the controlled crying thing. I just can't do it, I'm a wimp! And its why DS1 spent his first year in our bed, and DS2 has been next to me for the past 7 months!

Thing is we did CC months ago to great success whe DS was 13 months, so he only grizzles a bit when he goes down now. I just don't think he realises what 'cry it out' means and just how bloody cruel it is. Stupid man
