and I have received chat prompts from:

3 married men - apparently all bizzness men......
Another copper - that makes 3 married coppers in as many days
A lad under the age of 30
And a bi sexual man who when pressed said he preferred men but the pickings were a bit light so he thought he contact a woman in his area.....

As if it's not hard enough, I've now got to consider that I've not got just other ladies for competition but bloody men too!

Good grief!

I've been on there for a couple of weeks and I haven't got ANY offers :(
nor has anyone replied to the 2 or 3 messages I sent.

workshy · 26/01/2012 20:23

you need to send on average 5-8 messages to get a reply

people are rubbish at replying which is a bit rude IMO lol

issey6cats · 26/01/2012 22:00

lol i go on there and think the polar bear guy has messaged me hes weird i dont think he wants an actual date, so far have had a cross dresser in full ballgown, several short fat baldy ugly unshaven men ergh, a couple of no pics presumably married ones, several who think because im 5ft 6 that them being 5ft 5 is ok, (no want a guy a bit taller than me) and loads who you waste an evening chatting to them and then they vanish into a black hole somewhere never to be seen again, surely inbetween all these there must be the odd normal guy

FabbyChic · 26/01/2012 22:09

Ive exhausted all posibilities in 3 weeks, Ive messaged al those im attracted to and that was about 6. NO new members attracting my eye at all.

workshy · 26/01/2012 22:17

is the polar bear guy bingley somebody or other?

I've had about 4 jokes off the same person telling me a joke is the best way to break the ice???

issey6cats · 26/01/2012 22:23

yep i think thats the one he sent one message then vanished i offered to find out how much a polar bear wheighs as im on an animal care course, dont think he has a sense of humour lol it sank like a lead balloon, forgot the one whos background his kitchen needed aggie and kim to sort it out, dont think he will get many offers, its fun sorting out the guys who have no chance from the possibles, so far i have been on three dates, one wanted me in bed ten minutes after meeting him, bye bye now blocked, one just really wants a jive partner i cant dance and dont like jive anyway, and one guy is lovely but distance too far and neither of us has a car

workshy · 26/01/2012 22:29

I also shy away from the really good looking ones which makes no sense!

I did work out that one guy had a magazine head shot scanned in as his head shot so I pulled him up on it and he got all defensive -married!!!

hatesponge · 26/01/2012 22:33

Everyone is doing the polar bear joke, I've had that from at least 3 different men. I also went through a run of police, but having previously dated one (well a former one, he got kicked out...) no desire to date another! At the moment I seem to be mainly attracting personal trainers and army boys in their mid-20s (I am late 30s. They are too young, but quite pretty to look at in the main Grin)

Most of the men on dating sites (certainly the free ones) are either
a) married/attached and looking for something extra curricular;
b) after a series of one-off conquests
c) entirely lacking in any social skills/personal hygiene/intelligence

or a combination of all of the above. the only difference I found on paying sites was that the men are genuinely single, and looking for more than a casual one off (or are better at pretending that's not what they're looking for). The standard isn't appreciably better though!

Have you tried my single friend .com? You have to get a mate to write a spiel for you but.... My friend met a peach of a man on there.... He really was a diamond... So spectacularly depressing when she went back to the shithouse of an ex...... She had one other slightly dodgy date though. I loved the whole thing though and lived vicariously through her experiences on msf and match.com :)
