hell, he should see some of the kids i work with, then he would know 'scruffy'.

for goodness sake! she is a child!

bobbybobbobbingalong · 11/01/2006 17:49

Yes, having your hair not in your eyes is so important!

How old is your dd?

noddyholder · 11/01/2006 17:51

My ds is a scruffy monkey too no matter what I do he looks like something from Oliver Twist .She is a child and I bet she's lovely.I love scruffy kids very cute

I think scruffiness not impt but did see little girl with hair in her eyes trying to paint at a drop-in this morning and thought "she could do with a clip, then she could see her artwork a bit better"

My DD is 2!! And yes my FIL is an opinionated, santimonious git who has nothing positive or nice to say about anyone or anything. Of course he did not say this in front of me but whilst I was out of the room and my lovely DH, who always panders to him, told me later when I had no opportunity to retaliate. Grrrrr!!

Oh and just to add, he slagged off the parenting skills of my adorable SIL, said all 'asians' should be sent back home, that gays are just weird and more of the same. Kind of gives a reflection of what sort of person he is. Thankfully we don't see him that often so with any luck my children will never hear his views when they are old enough to perhaps be influenced by them

it's not about hair then, he's bonkers

petunia · 11/01/2006 18:55

Pagan, I think we share the same FIL. Always has a comment to throw in and a rascist s*d too. We visited SIL last week and all FIL did was sit on his backside throwing in his negative comments about everything. Of course, my DH won't stand up to him, he's too scared.

bobbybobbobbingalong · 11/01/2006 19:01

Yes, far better to have grandchildren with neat hair to ofset your racist, bigoted, half baked ideas!

He's bonkers - he'll probably live forever.

twirlaround · 11/01/2006 19:02

Ignore this and give it no mental time or energy

Pagan · 11/01/2006 19:21

I shall try to rise above it halo like. I did manage to sit through his enslaught of anti everything without saying a word until I made a sarky comment at the end .

Nutcase!
Tell him that all peole over (whatever age he is)
should be killed to cut back on public spending as they are a drain on the economy!

LOL KMIRSP. I'm saving up some witticisms for our next encounter. How about this in response to "they [Asians I presume] don't integrate into our establishment". Well the white settlers in US, Canada, Africa and Australia didn't too that either, they just shot the natives for sport!
