my best mate asked me if wanted a threesome with her

Last night out with my best mate, she'd has a skinfull, some random bloke started chatting to us and then suggested a threesome! She acted like I was really uptight for saying no! I feel our friendship is really one sided and this is like the final straw - she ended up going back with him and I think the only reason she wanted me to was because she thought he wouldn't be interested otherwise.

I don't think she's fancied me for a while - I think I have irritated her (that night amongst others) for not being as wild as her and for what it's worth I don't think there is anything wrong with threesomes - each to their own but it's not for me especially not with an old friend.

To me, a friend is someone who makes sure I'm okay if I've decided to go for a random shag (not that I've had any of those for about 1,000 years) and vice versa.

I also have a friend with whom I was very close, until I went to a party at her house and it turned out to be a neighbourhood swinging event. We're not close anymore.

So, all things considered, I reckon you and this woman are not friends. She should be going on the pull with someone she can trust, and you should be having your nights out with friends who don't expect you to sleep with people they chose.

Well it sounds like your friendship has run its course, better just to let it drift away.

Sounds like the sort of thing I would have found drunkenly hilarious in my late teens / early 20s (and probably might have considered!) but by my age have well, WELL outgrown. If you were both students then I could understand it better but really it sounds like she needs to grow up a bit. Is she rebounding from a dicorce or break up? Or perhaps a mid-life crisis? Sometimes we go back to that wild and reckless phase when life events give us a battering. I got pretty wild when I was left by my fiance and hit the big 3-0. Fortunately I had friends who just either rolled their eyes or who found my antics vicariously amusing rather than morally offensive. I think you should just chill out a bit to be honest.
