Don't know where to start.

Am currently listening to my P talking on the phone to my mum about me. Saying I am crazy, suffering from PND am violent and aggressive in front of my children. We do argue sometimes but I am not violent or agressive. My P is he one who has attacked me in front of 2 year old DD. DC2 is only amcouple of weeks old and has a serious medical condition but he has never asked me how I feel about it, instead chastises me for crying saying I need to get a grip. I am in debt and can't get my own place and have no family to help. He says because of this he will get custody of my children. They are all I have.
NOt strong enough to leave but now he is saying he is going to. Won't be able to go back to work. Don't know how I'll deal with DC's medical condition.
Please help.

Then make a plan and start putting it into action tomorrow....

Dont be embarrassed - thats what he relies upon to keep your silence, and in the meantime he is spreading lies about you. My ex used to suck right up to my mum and anyone he thought might be important to me. Its part of the ploy. He wants to turn her against you, then they can be co-conspiracors. Please tell her what has happened.

NettleTea · 21/02/2011 20:56

Can you speak out of his hearing if she does call?
Can you just call her back?

MigratingCoconuts · 21/02/2011 21:02

don't be embarrassed. She's your mum and ultimately, she is on you side.

As are all of us.

thisisyesterday · 21/02/2011 21:05

imagine if your daughter called you and said this about her husband?

who would you believe?
your mum will do anyrhing she can to help you out of this... please, please tell her what's going on

Notcrazy · 21/02/2011 21:19

Mum has texted me to say she wants to talk tomorrow and that she is upset I think she will believe everything he says (I texted her when he was talking to her) DCs have both fallen asleep on me so am going to stay in here tonight
He won't gt custody just because of my financial situation will he? I can't prove the violence will I need tomprove it to women's aid too?

no! you don't need tp prove it to woman's aid.

You need to trust in people, they will help

SpringchickenGoldBrass · 21/02/2011 22:15

The thing is with abusive wankers like him is that they are quite good at convincing you they are all powerful and everyone will take their side.
This is actually bullshit, people who are not the one trapped in the house with the abuser are very often able to see quite clearly that he is not a good person and not treating you well, particulalry people who know and love you.
