I have made a scary decision, to move to a strange place where I know no one and I need to keep it secret, can you help?

I don't want anyone to know as I don't want exp to know. How do I keep house sale/purchase secret, have neighbours who may tell one who is in touch with exp and one of them has a son who is an estate agent, and they all talk, as I know one.

How did I keep the removal men quiet on the day from prying questions? Should I get stuff moved to over time to storage and then use removal men.

How do I keep the school from being invaded. There is a lady at the secondary who worked at the primary my kids were at and when there she was caught nosing in private files she had no right to look in. She knows people I know who may tell exp.

It is so scary it is just me and the kids, I will not know anyone when I move. I just know I have to leave here and I to feel safe and free I need to be somewhere where I am not known or where someone I don't want to touch me will know where I am.

Why are you so scared of your ex?

AnotherMumOnHere · 02/01/2011 15:18

I don't think that is anyones business bar the OP.

I think you should move your children to another (local) school now, in preperation. That way the school will pass the records on to the new school, and it will be the new school that passes the information on to the final school.

AnotherMum, of course the OP doesn't have to tell us why she is scared. But having been in the same situation myself, I know how terrifying it can be.

Abusive partners can really warp your brain and threaten you with all sort of stuff. I really thought I would never get away alive. But by posting on here and speaking to Women's Aid, I got a blast of reality.

WA, the police and my doctors were a massive help to me and I felt much more supported when I started getting statutory agencies involved. The police offered to come and help me leave, which made a world of difference to how I was feeling.

I told my DD's school and childminder about the domestic abuse I experienced and my concerns for my daughter. Her Dad is not allowed to collect her without my permission and the school are really hot on enforcing this. My childminder's husband got a real shock when he tried to pick her up a couple of weeks ago!

This woman at the school would lose her job for disclosing the information if it is confidential. Speak to the head teacher and s/he can make sure the member of staff is aware. Gossips don't usually risk losing their jobs.
