Feeling low, teary, removed. Natural pick-me-up?

Hi All,
I won't go into details as to why I'm feeling this way. Some of you already know my story. I know that basically time and some counselling will help me feel better in the end. But right now I'm really struggling to get through this "festive" period and just to be a good, present, happy mum to my DCs.

Maybe I should be posting in Health, but just wondering if any of you found any natural remedies that have helped you when you've been feeling very teary, depressed, lacking energy...? I don't want to start on the road of ADs as I don't think I need them. I think this is temporary - I hope it is. I just want to stop feeling on the verge of tears all the time.

Sorry to sound so pathetic and hope some of you have some suggestions.
I've tried exercise by the way. It worked a little, temporarily.

Thanks. MMx

I've just been reading the site on coconut oil mentioned by SA - here.

Thanks so much for this - the idea of improving one's mood and general health really appeals to me.

Definitely sounds worth a try!

@ Wannabefree - Excellent! Please post back (or PM me) in two weeks with an update. I would love to hear how it works out for you.

@ WhatsWrongWithYou - You are welcome!

SurreyAmazon- yes, I spent some of my young life soaked in coconut oil. Think it was also used for cooking at times. That's over 25 years ago though so it has all worn off, I guess.

SA- I will do!It'll probably arrive at the end of next week but I'll update you when I've used it for two weeks.

FINALLY got my coconut oil today. I'll update again in two weeks with the results.

Been using it for three weeks now. Not really noticed any difference, although I must say I've had several compliments on my skin recently. Not sure if it's related.

wannabefree · 13/02/2011 20:07

I might have to change my last post. My skin is LUMINOUS! People are actually describing my skin as 'amazing'. Just ordered the big tub from Amazon (think its 1500g). Just wish it wasn't so expensive, but it's bloody worth it! Thanks SurreyAmazon for not keeping this to yourself!
