I didn't know whether to put this is behaviour, or education, or feeling depressed (though I'm not), or other or what, but I need to be more confident/assertive, develop social skills or whatever you wanna call it.

Has anyone any tips? I'm not really shy, just don't generally have much to say. I think I must assume I'm boring or something but it doesn't really make sense. I can't make a decision for myself either, always have to ask other people's opinions on stuff.

Any tips?

steffee- have you had a look at courses in your area? Most councils run (often free) courses for women often focusing on just the skills you are after. No real advise - probably goes back to your childhood- most things do- but recognising you need help and want to change is a great step forward. even if you just took a basic course in anything eg computers, english etc (whatever your need) Im sure getting you mixing with other adults trying to improve themselves would help. it can be very isolating being a mum -as well as rewarding! good luck

Thanks maturer!

I am starting uni next week so might find that helps a lot in itself. But I found before while at college that I was confident there, even with lecturers, but not at work, and not with new people. So yeah, I don't want to babble on and on, but I will see if there are any courses in my area. Thanks!!
