I have just been to a family members funeral,he was in his early 20s and killed himself.I hadnt seen him since last year and am pretty much in shock. He has a little boy same age as mine and I cant stop crying even tho I didnt know him well.Iam feeling so sorry for his child who is too little to understand he will never see his dad again.I just feel so upset I had to let it out.

:9 how awful
suicide alwasy seems more shocking than a 'normal' death as such

Bellajade · 19/09/2005 07:43

especially when the person is young and has so much to live for

Bellajade,

You may want to consider at some point talking to a bereavement counsellor in CRUSE.

Suicide amongst young men is sadly more common that many people realise.

Iam a very compassionate person I feel alot for other ppl and like I said I didnt see him too often and Ive been crying for days.I cant imagine what his mother is going through. If it were my son who died I think I would want to kill myself too because I cant imagine living life without him.
