... and a bit of light relief to any long term (or even new)singletons out there... a blogger wrote this list of "if society treated married couples the way they treat singletons"

If married people were treated like singles.....

?You?re so great ? how come you?re still married??

?It?s okay to be married for a while, but eventually you need to grow up and become single.?

?Oh, you?re married? I?m so sorry!?

?You?re so lucky to be married and not have as much responsibility.?

?But don?t you feel bad not having a life, seeing as you?re married??

?When are you going to get a divorce??

?It must be so sad having to come home to a house with someone in it all the time.?

?Well, I would?ve invited you to book group, except you?re married and I thought you wouldn?t want to be around all those happily single people.?

?What?s a beautiful woman like you doing married??

They made me chuckle, I hope they do you...

I am glad there are still married people around, to make us singles have something to look forward to. Eventually. Confused

Cheered me up no end, thanks.

Chap in a shop being lightly flirtatious the other day, asked why I didn't have someone. I spoilt the moment by taking the question seriously, and replied "because I don't need anyone". I think he was a bit put out.

Last week I was on a job finding workshop, and we got to awkward questions some interviewers ask. One of the questions was "what's the biggest mistake you ever made?" About half the people there (myself included) piped up "Getting married!"

It must be really hard having to share the discipline of the children with some else.

Tee Hee Hee especially at "You're so great how come you're still married Grin

A man I met earlier this year through work, actually delivered that line about how come I was married. I'm afraid it was such a different style of chat-up line, that I burst out laughing, recovering eventually to put on my stern WWIFN face. Wink
