I love my husband so much, but sometimes i could just scream at him!
Our little girl is 19 weeks and she's a gem!
I am on maternity leave until january, and things are getting on top of me a bit.
i'm doing everything( thats how i feel),he asks me whats wrong and i tell him and hell say that he'll try and help a bit more! but he doesn't i asked him if he could a wash in the machine or wash and sterilise bottles for me before he goes to work in the morning.
He doesn't have timehe says!

sorry i just needed to have a moan Sad

Sad It is awful when you feel like you are doing it all and he is not listening to you.

Does he cook dinner? Think of ways he can help more and get him to discuss what he is willing to do. Perhaps things in the evening and weekends are better than before he leaves in the morning. Can you leave DD with him for a Saturday and go shopping/lunch with a friend?

luvlybunchofcoconuts · 29/08/2010 15:49

he works shifts and sometimes has split days off occasionally. when i've said to him before about how i feel he says he will try more and it only lasts 2-3days!!
i moved away from my home town (family/friends) to where he is he from (2hrs away) both decision we made.

I live 300 miles from family (we moved to be closer to his, and now we don't speak to them) and I know exactly how you feel. DD1 is 5, DD2 is 4 months. DH wants to help, but I have to be specific, e.g. 'will you empty the kitchen bin now please', or 'can you make tea tonight' and he is happy to say yes. But only if he can see i'm busy already. If I'm doing nowt (as if!) he gets quite grumpy!

luvlybunchofcoconuts · 29/08/2010 17:03

thats what he's like, i love him and he just adores and is brilliant with our wee one.

i'm at my wits end with him. i sometimes feel y do i even bother asking him to help. :-(

At this moment, DH is asleep as he is so tired! DD2 is crying, DD1 is asking for her tea and I am ignoring them both Blush!

NotANaturalGeordie · 29/08/2010 17:16

Am back. Was going to say that DH also doesn't see the jobs that need doing, or realise that other jobs have been done. I think he really believes in the washing/ironing fairy....

luvlybunchofcoconuts · 29/08/2010 17:18

aw wish i could give you a hand.

DH is always going on about how tired he is too, i've just stopped saying how tired i am now.

Anmy chance you could go for a nap now? You know, just tell him to wake you up in an hour and off you go?

luvlybunchofcoconuts · 29/08/2010 17:23

Oh it's nice to know I'm not the only one! DS is 7 wks and I'm on maternity leave. Just as others have said, DH is happy to help but just doesn't see what needs doing! Also his idea of what passes as tidy is very different to mine so we disagree about that too.

He works hard at quite a physical job so also tends to be tired in an evening.

luvlybunchofcoconuts · 29/08/2010 18:20

lol i thought i was the only one lol.
to top things my mum had a heart attack about 5weeks ago, she is still young!(46) so worrying about her and everything else has not helped.

DH will say we should start using this, and me thinking he will he doesn't. grr

I am also on ML & have put on my own thread along the same lines.

He does c what needs doing because he is constantly reminding me of jobs that have 2 b done & asking when I am going 2 get round 2 gettig certain things done. What he doesnt seem 2 get is that he can also do them. but.............
As he works...... its my job.

And when he does eventually do anything he is so resentful that u end up asking whether the whole night ruined by a mood from his was worth him doing the small core that you have asked him to do.

Answers on a postcard please ladies.
