I keep hearing the end of a trailer that's clearly trying to build some suspense.

Thing is, if they have Brenda getting pg accidentally they can't really have her terminating as they have done that storyline so recently. I'm still annoyed Helen never found out Leon was the father - I was waiting for her to have a breakdown over it!

So if Brenda is pg she would keep it and then in the fine tradition of the Archers do nothing for the next forty years but cook Tom's teas. Far better for her to escape to the heady delights of, umm, Leicester

is just mysterious. some stories get to go somewhere, some don't. no idea how they do it but it is boggling how we get to have yoof graffiti and jacket potato stories while jack woolley's hand holding and kate return from africa has been left to stew.

I liked Roy's little chat with Tom earlier, pointing out that the days of coming home to dinner on the table went out with the dark ages. Surely Tom can find 10 minutes to pick up some sort of shopping. Mind you, if I had to face Susan in order to get a bottle of milk and a loaf of bread I think I'd opt for broad bean pizza!

Brenda is going to have some kind of feminist awakening.

She is WOMAN hear her ROAR!!

Although, this being Ambridge, she will have to start wearing dungarees and Doc Martens.

Has there ever been a point though where Bren has said look, you're the one who's here all day, you do it? I don't think this is about him being sexist, it's her being superwoman -
men in general are v simple creatures, far from psychic, & need to be told. (Repeatedly )

She seemed to think it was fine for her to be the one who organised their meals for the week so naturally he went along with that.

Ponders · 21/05/2010 12:46

And who generally cooks at Bridge Farm? It's Feminist Pat, isn't it?

fishie · 23/05/2010 22:08

well matt has peed on his territory,

Ponders · 23/05/2010 22:15

champagnesupernova · 24/05/2010 07:52

Hope my podcast thingy works or I will need some help

I've got a feeling that Matt is going to store up his new-found info about the dinner dance and use it against poor Lilian in the future.

Why don't Bren and Tom do an online shop ffs? It's not that difficult is it.
What is troubling me, though, is what has Lilian been living on? Matt has obviously had no income, and has had his wealth taken away, and she doesn't work. I know the house is hers: is she independently wealthy as well? Champagne, cigars, brandy...she's not skint, for sure. Please help, I am irrationally bothered by this.

HarlotOTara · 26/05/2010 14:13

Lilian is independantly wealthy - married someone who was a millionaire I think. If you are really interested the BBC Archer website will tell all!

boogeek · 26/05/2010 14:16

I am really interested! Thank you

zisforzebra · 26/05/2010 20:54

I'm glad Lillian has her own money. It will make it much easier when she finally packs Matt's bags!

boogeek · 26/05/2010 20:56

No! Pusscat and tiger?
