can someone remind me about the whole richard affair thing... ? was it just a one night?... was she going out with alistair at the time? did he find out? did everyone know about it? i'm sooo dying for usha to give it to her all guns... SLAP 'ER!!!!!!

Yes, Shula had IVF, and then by the time she knew she was expecting Daniel, Mark had died. It was then a while before she got together with Alistair, and by then I think she was too old to have any more.

...leading (where I worked at the time) to a cryptic message sent in the inter-office mailbag to the New York office:

Mark dead. Shula pregnant. Caroline still in hospital.

... and concerned calls to our office from theirs, when the wrong person opened it and assumed this was an ever so British notification of an office tragedy.

Can I just add my voice to this & say how much Shula is annoying me at the moment. I don't understand why Alastair is so sympathetic to her "issue" with Usha - Usha has done nothing to her, she was the innocent and injured party, but Shula acts as thought a terrible wrong has been done to her by Usha.

And as for her "But he's supposed to be our spiritual leader" whining, what sort of a Christian does she think she is? Whoever said "bigot" on here is right.
