Thank you, @PseudoBadger, for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads.

All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd have been delighted with a hand-painted squirrel tray for your 40th, as shown below, or other unusual views.

All I have to say about current storylines for now is that I want the George Alice crash stuff to come to a resolution, sooner rather than later, and I also want to hear very little indeed of Alistair, Denise and Paul maundering on. More of Jakob would be very welcome. His brother can come back any time too.

Is George supposed to be very handsome? Beautiful people do get away with stuff the rest of us don't, at least for a while. I've always pictured him as podgy pasty and shifty, but maybe that's just my bad radio reception.

How come Cloive hasn't been hounded out of Ambridge by a braying mob?Emma is meant to be pretty. I don't know if Will is, but Geowurge might have inherited some Grundy or Larkin good looks genes.

From what we've heard, he should be quite fit and muscled. That doesn't make him good-lookkng, but his mother's meant to be good-looking, do it depends on his genes, I guess. I assume he's got a near-permanent sulky, surly expression though.

Also, not pasty, because he got sunburnt working shirtless with Ben and Neil. So probably browner now, if it's stopped peeling.

So that is how he's managing to fool some of the people some of the time. They may not take it well when they learn the truth.

It's a shame that people are so careless with litter in Ambridge. Maybe there's a reason for the SL.

They must be very unusual among villages, I'd have thought most of them would have had an informal but pally group of local litter pickers for decades. Not led by eight year olds.

I enjoyed the positivity about New Cassel. Lovely place.
Not as brilliant as the Pool though.

Actually, thinking of things litter pickers have to pick up, the health hazards from broken glass, discarded needles, rat pee and assorted horrors, to say nothing of traffic hazards, none of the tidy village groups I know about let children that age get involved with the practical end of it at all. Keeping the school and schoolyard littler-free yes, but not the village at large.

How long before they find the fruit cider bottles? How long will the mystery last?
Will they stretch one day in Ambridge over 4 days?

Who'll sponsor the bins? Can't see Justin wanting his name associated with rubbish.
