Please recommend me headphones to sleep in

Long term insomniac here. I've learned that I sleep much better if I can listen to podcasts through the night.

I must have spent hundreds of pounds on different headphones, and they either break quickly or are uncomfortable for side sleeping.

Most comfortable is the Snooze Band style- but whether I get the name brand variety or Amazon cheapo version, they always go on one side or stop charging.

I need Bluetooth, ideally and have freakishly small earholes apparently.

Would rather not spend loads as even my Bose ones let me down.

Does this Holy Grail exist?

I feel you. I also use podcasts and audiobooks to get to sleep. Thankfully, I usually sleep alone so I just have them on out loud without the need for headphones. When I do occasionally have to share a room, I find that my Apple airpods are ok as a short term measure. They're not really comfortable for side sleeping, but they're just about bearable. Mostly, I only put one ear in - the side I'm not lying on. I just don't think the perfect product exists, but if other people come along with some ideas then I'd be interested.

How about using an ear piercing pillow? It's basically a round pillow with a hole for your ear.

Sorry I can't seem to add a link but Google and Amazon are your friend for this 🙂

I sleep with just one ear bud in as well as I need some noise so for me it's something like friends or another sitcom

I have this and it's awful. It's so thin, far too big (and I have a massive head) so it just falls down and the "flat" speakers in it are actually about 1cm deep coin sized circles badly inserted without any padding so it's uncomfortable to sleep on.

I've not had any problems with my musicozy cheap one but tbh I do only use it on weekends away/holidays when I have to share a room - it might pack up quicker if used daily I guess.

My specialist subject! I have tiny ear canals and sleep on my side. I have some mini earbuds that are insanely comfortable but the battery is short lived.

My current set up is a bit clunky but it works for me. The battery lasts all night as well.

See, I think for occasional use this style is probably just fine- but unfortunately the wiring etc just doesn't survive a nightly habit. Plus it's true, as a pp said- some models aren't as comfy as they promise to be.

I've found the LC Dolida headband to be really good and with surprisingly good sound (I'm a bit of a hifi nut) although it sounds like you've had bad experiences with that kind of product...
