Archers Thanks due to @PseudoBadger for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads and to @DadDadDad for being our resident statistician and keeping the ball rolling when Pseudo stepped back a bit. Thanks also to all those who contributed to the thread title.

Archers All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd like to be Susan's best friend or other odd unusual views. Grin

Archers Spoilers: not on this thread, please. We don't wait for the omnibus to discuss the weeknight episodes, but we do try our best to avoid cross-contamination from www.mumsnet.com/Talk/radio_addicts/3439443-keep-it-to-yourself-the-archers-spoilers-thread-4, where spoilers are positively welcomed!

So, to business. What a fantastic two-hander. Massive BOOP points to Alison Dowling, the scriptwriter and director (and the therapist). I had more than a small tear in my eye listening to that.

I'm another one with a vote of thanks to chemenger for all that information on the last thread about distilling. I should know some of that because I went on a tour of the whisky distillery near where my parents live but I've forgotten most of it except how delicious the end product is.

100 Archers threads! We are truly overinfested. Whether you need some help from a therapist in a tabard, or want to move your wife in with your FWB, there’s something in Ambridge for you!

PseudoBadger · 05/03/2019 13:47

What do you think ⬆️

ErrolTheDragon · 05/03/2019 14:13

I'm sure Natasha knows all about Kirsty - wasn't there some verbal fencing between them recently? - polite, talons sheathed.

Motoko · 05/03/2019 14:24

Hannah made her bed. I definitely got the impression that she got Tom to tell Natasha about their FWB arrangement, hoping it would put Natasha off, so she could have Tom all to herself.

I have no sympathy for her, and am enjoying the schadenfreude. Maybe she'll learn not to play games in relationships.

I like Johnny, but do hope he starts to believe in himself soon. He's the type of lad that parents hope their daughters bring home!

InvisibleLlama · 05/03/2019 14:47

@Pseudobadger Yes! I like it! All life is here...

C8H10N4O2 · 05/03/2019 14:52

Are we all being bashful about offering thread titles for the coming illustrious event?

Something perhaps which includes "100 not out" or possibly "100 and GoldenPips is still not out" or "100 and Mark is long out" Grin

Definitely overinfested for an emoji.

DavidDavidDavid · 05/03/2019 15:10

Either that or thread title should be "PseudoBadger - si monumentum requiris, circumspice" Grin

DavidDavidDavid · 05/03/2019 15:11

Oh, and how'd'you like my TA 100 name-change?

D^3

ConstanzaLlama · 05/03/2019 15:17

@DavidDavidDavid excellent! I've changed mine in honour too!

ppeatfruit · 05/03/2019 15:24

YAAAY I LOVE IT Psuedo Very clever and funny.

The problem with name changing is I don't know how to effing do it Davex3 Grin

DavidDavidDavid · 05/03/2019 15:27

ppeat - you click on My Mumsnet then on Settings, then you just type in a new name, confirm password and it's done. Can always change back.

JessieMcJessie · 05/03/2019 15:28

Please don’t assume that all Archers listeners understand cricketing references!

JazzerMcJazzer · 05/03/2019 15:31

Particularly us Scottish ones Grin

ppeatfruit · 05/03/2019 15:34

Oh thanks Davedad I'll try.

DavidDavidDavid · 05/03/2019 15:40

JazzerMcJazzer - love the name change. It's just struck me, as I have a daughter and two sons, am I turning into David Archer? I'm afraid to ask my wife in case she says "ohhh nooo, David" Grin

ConstanzaLlama · 05/03/2019 15:42

991 posts! We might soon be homeless and all have to bunk in with Tom, Jonny, Hannah, Natasha, the babies...

TherapistInATabard · 05/03/2019 15:49

Ta-daaaaaaa *twirls and trips over

Can't believe no-one else went for this Grin

(It's MrsArthurShappey btw, and songbird for many years)
