Who listens to r4 and your demographic. Me now typical middle aged middle class but I have listened since teenage in my own right.

How about you ?

Another middle-aged, middle class, but R4 has been the background noise of my life. I went through a radio 1 phase as a teenager...swapping over briefly to Capital Radio in the late 80s but that was probably just a 5-10 year blip. Occasionally I might pop on Radio 3, but I've never felt the need to try Radio 2.

At night we tend to sleep with radio 4 on low to muffle any street noise. There is some great stuff on the World Service, but I hate the way my DAB radio switches over to the schools service for an hour or 2 in the early morning (some of the "Music and Movement" truly is the stuff of nightmares). What's that all about!

The ability to download some of the better comedies (Hut 33/Cabin Pressure/Clare in the Community...is brilliant).

Don't get me started on the Archers......
