The thing I particularly liked about the Kate and Phoebe scene was I could hear a grown up version of the character I could recall from a couple of decades ago.

I think Ambridge! would have to be a play-within-a-play like kiss me kate (with Lynda as director natch)

I did laugh at Kate wanting vegan wine . I don't recall her being so strict about her newly embraced lifestyle when it came to quaffing back the champagne on NYE!

I could just see Kate in my head, particularly when she was taking sips of wine in between speaking. I could imagine her elbow just missing the edge of the table and her face becoming slightly shiny as she became more self-pitying. Poor Feebs. In her place I'd be embracing dri- nylon Roy with open arms.
