Maclaren Quest or Techno XT?

Had a quick look at the product descriptions and there doesn't seem to be much between these two, feature-wise.

I want it as a spare pushchair that is lighter than my main one to get in and out of the car all day.

Anyone get the Quest and wish they'd got the Techno XT? Does the Buggy Board go well on either one of them?

Thank you!

If it's for the car, i'd say a Quest. I have just binned a Quest as I wore out the wheels and the frame started to give a bit, but we walk for miles each day and tbh the wheels aren't really built for that kind of wear and tear. We've replaced it with an XT, which has much bigger wheels and suspension too, so should hopefully last us the year or so ds will still need it. Maclarens are the best umbrella folds you can buy, imo, but it's a shame they make it so difficult and expensive to service them should anything go wrong.

If you want a light buggy to throw in and out of the boot of a car then and for more occasionaly use then a quest is a good idea.

I have had both and had a techno XT at the moment and I love it but for an older toddler theres not really much between them.

Thank you both - very helpful.

Boot space isn't that much of an issue as I have a large car.

I've read that the seat is smaller on the Quest?

Our school car park is very stony and bumpy so maybe lack of suspension on the Quest might give the XT the edge...

depends on age of child
I wouldn;t put anyone younger than 6m in a Quest, and it'll also make heavier weather of the buggyboard

They are smaller but not hugely.

My DD was in a quest, we walked miles with it along canel toepaths etc untill she was 3 and it literally dropped to peices. I never noticed it being especially bumpy issue. My DD is quite big and is easily accomodated her.

Maclaren do make awesome buggies

I have never used a buggy board.
