Help!!! Does anyone know where to start?? Everyone in my area seems to have gone for phil and Teds with baby crammed in at bottom. Is this because it is the best or the most fashionable? Is there another way? Have looked at mamas and papas duette online where the kids face each other but pram seems enormous. Also worried too much interaction may not always be the best idea. Would be so grateful for any advice.

My personal fave is the new baby jogger city select. Its similar concept to the Icandy pear, so can do either double or single, but a lot more seating options, and probably a lot cheaper.

I had a mountain buggy, absolutely brilliant, sturdy, so comfortable and the same width as a wheelchair, so went everywhere. It was expensive, but they do hold their value on ebay (in fact, want to buy a red one???)

i was having the same problem DD2 due in 6 weeks and DD1 is 2.3, i decided (after a long think and looking at so many prams) that i am going for a buggy board with a seat, the revelo kid sit is great, im 'training' DD1 to walk more at the mo and is working great, i didnt want the expence of a doublefor the short time i would need 1, i will also use my baby carrier when DD1 is tierd she can go in the pram (fingers crossed this works)

i think you just have to think how often you will be walking far on your own? and how much of a good walker your first child is?

I too am not into phil and teds, did look at city wheels twin as i like the option to look at both children or 1 at me and 1 away

good luck

Thank you all for your time. Have looked up baby jogger city select and a few people said their older child did not fit in it after a while.

Really liked look of mountain buggy but its too wide to fit through front door, AAAAAAGH.

Thanks Hayley. My DD1 is a good walker but quite random and my fear is he might run away if in wrong mood and I am stuck there with baby. Anyway will keep thinking.

I went for the P&T because I couldn't find anything else that:

*Fits through my back door
*Fits in my car boot
*Doesn't require second mortgage
*Doesn't take up entire pavement when walking locally or in town
*Can get on train/bus if needed

I prefer the look of many other doubles, but ended up choosing the most practical for me IYSWIM. I think many people have a similar list of criteria so thats why there are so many P&Ts around.

I used the Phil and Teds sport Fantastic pushchair! Folds really flat for smaller cars easy to push

I have Phil & Teds E3 (had it 2.5 years) and am horrified to find that 2.5 year toddler is too big for front seat with other seat in newborn position so try before you buy if you can

agree that often p&t doesn't work v.well in newborn mode for some toddlers so def worth checking full set up.

nipper 360 is fab as v.v.light and tbh wish i'd gone for that from the start. Cheaper than all these others less than £300 b/new and sell on well on ebay.

I had p&t but my youngest was a year old at that stage so never used in newborn was great for two toddlers tho. Had 18m gap btw ds2 was 18m when ds3 arrived.
