Loving those pics and video Mel.

Can I ask, how did you hear about a delay?

I haven't heard anything about it from Lullaboo baby and the owner, Dan, hasn't replied to my email either as yet, do you know what's happended?

mel2005 · 27/04/2010 14:22

i spoke to dan on friday as that was the day they were due in and i wanted to know if the snack trays fitted anyway he had just come out of a meeting with BJ and its been delayed because of the iclandic volcano and some other small delays. he is getting some in on the 10th then more on the 20th may. mine i think is the 20th. i know this often happens with new models, it happened with the icandy peach which was delayed several months. there is a bigger delay in america where its been out since jan/feb. anyway dan is getting the first ones in.
i am going to have a go at making liners like the ausie ladies have, they look great and i have decided to make a matching pocket behind the seats for beakers etc like the easywalker duo has.

Oh excellent, thanks for letting me know.

That Aus site is really good isn't it, I've become a regular lurker there now

Good luck with the liners and pockets - sounds like a great idea.

I couldnt disagree more with this pre-launch Baby Jogger Select hype. Put a child in the front seat like my US SIL and try and lift it over a kerb OR manouvre it. Arnold Shwarzenegger would struggle! This product is full of serious problems that could cause multiple problems. In placing the second child directly over the front wheels the American designers have ignored what any engineer would learn in year 1 college. My SIL told me that BJ advise Americans on mounting a kerb to push children into road facing traffic and then lift from rear as it is so impossible to lift. As for the sack of a seat in which they expect you to entrust your children - there is no back support whatsoever. My niece and nephew looked like slumped sacks of potatoes! As a physio I told my SIL to get rid of this stupid product immediately! She had sold it on ebay by the time I left the States on my last visit in March.

I have one of these on pre-order too!
I have DD who is almost 6 months and DS who is 2.5yrs so I was thinking it was a bit much. BUT I am so fed up of my P&T, pumping up the tyres, getting flats, not being able to see little one.
Plus with a school run to pick up 2 big sisters, we do our fair share of walking (trying to convince myself I need this buggy!)

I have heard so many good things about this buggy, the last thread is the first which is negative, anybody got any other negative points before I sell the P&T

mel2005 · 28/04/2010 22:57

there are quite a few reviews from people that have them in usa and aus, before now the only negative comments i have found were that you have to buy the whole double seat to get the support bits that you need to use a carrycot or car seat on the front.
i have had a mountain buggy terrain with bucket/hammock type seats and i knew the select ones were like that. also they do suggest that the heavier child goes in the back seat (as with all tandem types like that) i have twins. there is a lady on one of the links above who has an older child up the front. i have had many buggies that are hard to get up curbs but to be honest i use drop down ones anyway as i usually have a buggyboard on the back. i cant think of the last time i needed to get up or down a full curb.
if you buy it from dan he said when you get it if you dont like it you can return it (obviously unused). or pop it on ebay, you would get your money back.

Mel, you are so right about the curbs. On my regular routes I know where the drops are/ match up, so it's a fairly bump free trip
Went to pick up girls from school yesterday and everyone says they never see baby as she's always lying down.
So I told a few mums that I was hoping to get a new buggy so we can all see her Even me!
So am feeling positive about the whole thing again.
Plus you are right about returning it or selling it on Ebay.

I think I will have to sort out raincover though. I do like how the P&T fits.

Much happier, thanks

mel2005 · 29/04/2010 13:03

well i bought a couple of cheap ones from e-bay they are ok but after looking at the photos of the select next to the bugaboo i bought a couple of bugaboo cameleon ones £11.50 each inc postage from e-bay. i really liked the cam ones when i had one so if they fit it will be great if not they will go back on e-bay.
