bugaboo bee on rougher surfaces..village walks

HI considering swapping my cameleon for a bee due to having my third baby currently newborn and like the flexibility of being able to swap from baby to use for my toddler if she tires of wlking.

My only concern is the small wheels we live in a village and although there is no really bad surface walking we particularly do it can be bumpy uneven, muddy very occasional over grass and gravel etc.

my cam can pretty much tackle anything even snow but is big and two part folding generally not so quick easy and compact..but ido love it!

experienced use of bugaboo bee would be grately appreciated as dont want to sell cam to apy for bee and then end up not being able to use all the time

than ks

I've had a bee for nearly 2 years now and I do love it but it's not great over lumpy bumpy stuff. The biggest problem is that the teeny wheels don't really flow over bumps, but bash into them and so the pram tips / gets stuck. Depends how big the bumpsa re I suppose. Is not too bad over grass, is hard work over gravel (but then isn't everything?).

ok thhanks suppose the bumps are like old unmaintained paths. but in winter can be lots of wet muddy leaves didnt no if they wud clog wheels??

planning on bee plus which as new improved suspension on all 4wheels.

have to say my cam breezes even gravel but if thats all im losing thats fine

The leaves would be ok I think - and if it's paths then you would be fine.

When DS was first born I used to do a Buggyfit class and used my Bee - and it coped with marching round soggy football pitches OK. I mean it was hard work, but it was OK. The only time I had an issue with it in that situation was when I came across tree roots!

I have a friend with a Chameleon and I definately prefer the Bee, it's just a bit less BIG

Oh, and my Bee has done miles and miles of walking - although mainly on tarmac - and has stood up well.

And also, DS is now 21 months and on the 91st percentile for height and he still fits in the pram just fine so you should be OK with the new wider / longer version for a while.
