Ancient hand me down buggy has dramatically disintegrated. We are car free so I am desperate for a replacement to last til DD2 is 3 plus.

Which would you choose? Will do alot of miles and must be suitable for the bus.

I bought a cheap travel system knowing once dd was old enough for a stroller she would be in it all the time and the buggy wouldnt be needed. I sold the travel system as it was a 3 wheeler and front wheel didnt turn so had to virtually lift it up so it was like a wheelbarrow to get around corners! We got a mammas and pappas out of the sale reduced from £200 to £67 an no wonder, was massive, heavy, felt like it was going to drop to bits and sometimes we couldnt unfold it.

In the end I got what I wanted in the first place - a maclaren stroller and it looks good, is so light weight, can fold with one hand, takes up little space and moves fast, really nippy and compact, I love it. Got one in the sale for £90 which was worth the price for us as we want to have another baby so it will get used again.

There are lots of strollers out there that are half the price of that or less and come with a 12 month guarantee from some places so you would be covered for the duration of the time you want to use it. Im not sure i would go for a super cheap one, seen many broken strollers dumped outside of argos as people have been out shopping and theve collapsed and had no choice but to purchase another while they were out. Argos do cheap strollers and you can ask to look at them so you can try them out but they are boxed so a bit faffy having to wait for staff to unpack them and box them up and get another one out for you etc, thats where mothercare is better having them on display. Tho if you find one you like in mothercare you can always go on a price comparison sight to see who sells it the cheapest, Kiddicare.com always seems to have bargains!

I would say a Maclaren Techno XT - rather boring but will do the miles and is good for older children!

I would say the Baby Jogger Mini is the way to go, its superb, different, reasonably priced and very easy to fold using just one strap on the seat and then whole pushchair just folds in half....must have been a woman that designed this one lol.
Take a look at the Baby Jogger website and it has a video of the folding system. I bought my one from our local independent baby shop, The Best Bib And Tucker, their site address is www.thebestbibandtucker.co.uk. Not only were they extremely helpful but they also done me a deal on the pushchair and rain cover as a package as you usually have to buy the cover separately. The package total was £189.99 and was well worth every penny )

I would say - the Baby Jogger city Mini - really good quality - you get a lot of features and a really good user friendly buggy for your money. Great for larger toddlers/ preschoolers (as well as tiny babies too)!

Love the huge hood - really keeps the weather off - Love the large shopping basket. - Love the back of seat basket - Love the large roomy seat - LOVE the fold and set up - soooo easy. (folds nice and neat with one hand and can be carried with one hand so great for the bus).

Love It!
